Borussia Dortmund 21-22 Home Kit Info Leaked - Inspired by 1997 CL Final

Following up on his stories about the upcoming AC Milan and Olympique Marseille home shirts, Gol De Sergio has shared the first bits of info about the Borussia Dortmund 2021-22 home Dortmund's 2021-22 home kit by Puma.

The Puma Dortmund 21-22 the new Borussia Dortmund 2021-2022 home kit is set to be released in May next year and will take inspiration from the 1997 Champions League win over Juventus, "one of the great underdog stories in European Cup final history" according to Puma.

Dortmund overtook big favorites and title holders Juventus to win the 1996-97 UEFA Champions League in Munich on 28 May 1997 by 3-1, with gols scored by Karl-Heinz Riedle and Lars Ricken.

This is the new 1997 Nike Dortmund shirt, inspiration for the Puma Borussia Dortmund 21-22 home jersey.

The Puma Borussia Dortmund 2021-22 home jersey will be apparently draw close inspiration from the 1997 shirt, produced by Nike.

The 1997 Dortmund jersey features the garish yellow base color that the characterized the Nike Dortmund partnership in the 1990s. A lot of black is present on the shoulders and sleeves of the OG shirt as well as in the form of a horizontal stripe across the lower front.

Everything indicates that the Puma Borussia Dortmund 2021-2022 football shirt will follow the inspiration closely, although the main color will not be repeated. It will remain the 'traditional' 'cyber yellow' that Puma has used for years.
