Herrera Certainly Likes Them: Big Teams That Do Not Recolor Club Crest Colors For 20-21 Kits (Not Very Many)

Ander Herrera a few days ago shared his opinion on recolored football logo colors. He said, more or less openly, that he is not a fan of teams not using the traditional colors in the club badge on their kits. We take a look at teams that did not change the club crest colors on any of their 2020-2021 kits.

Teams That Recolor & Not Recolor Club Crest Colors In 2020-2021 Season

In the 2020-2021 season, the majority of clubs has changed their logo colors for at least one of their alternative kits - this includes many of the big clubs such as Bayer, Real Madrid, Manchester City, FC Barcelona.

Some teams have never recolored their club logo

Big teams that do not have a a single kit with a recolored club logo in the 2020-21 season include AC Milan, Atalanta Bergamo, Inter Milan, Lazio and Dortmund.

In fact, there are some teams that never have recolored their club crest - for example Gladbach, Freiburg and Hertha from Germany.

Milan did just recolor their club crest two times for a golden version in the past. It was never just green, yellow or blue, for example.

Teams from South America do also not change their club crest colors as often as in Europe. In fact, many clubs from Argentina, Brazil and other countries have strict regulations of the kit designs such as the exact colors and number of stripes for their home and secondary kits.

Teams like Juventus, Stade de Reims and Hellas Verona have a club logo that is composed of one color - they recolor it for their kits, but it is just not the same as for other clubs but only logical. This also applies for Liverpool and Tottenham.
