Reebok Loses Out: AS Roma To Officially Announce New Balance Kit Deal Soon
Update: As expected, Italian website il Romanista reports that AS Roma has agreed to a three-year contract with American sportswear brand New Balance. The deal will initially run for three years and the crucial point is that AS Roma gives a better fixed amount a miss in favor of earning a "larger percentage" of sales. This also means that a deal with Reebok was totally fabricated.
AS Roma did already receive the first shirt samples
Interestingly, the capital city club did already receive the first shirt samples, and especially the third jersey "looks striking". In other news, Roma is currently negotiating an extension of their sponsorship deals with Qatar and Hyundai which will both expire this June.
Original Story: AS Roma are set to announce New Balance as the club's new shirt supplier, according to RomaPress. This confirms our earlier suspicion of New Balance being by far the most likely choice for the club.
Having also held talks with the likes of Adidas, Castore and Under Armour, Roma will receive an annual base sum of just €4 million according to a source from club owners Friedkin Group. However, the club will earn a "significantly larger percentage" of sales, which had been a major criticism of the previous Nike deal.
Roma had announced in July that the deal with Nike would end earlier than planned, after the current 2020-21 campaign.
It remains to be seen whether New Balance will already be the club's shirt supplier in the 2021-22 campaign or if we will once again see in-house kits due to the little amount of time left until then.

Nottingham Forest Announce Marex Front-of-Shirt Sponsorship Deal
Nottingham Forest have officially announced a multi-year Principal Partnership with global financial services platform Marex. Starting with the 26-27 season, Marex will serve as the club's new front-of-shirt sponsor, replacing gambling brand Bally's. The agreement is reported to be worth approximately £25 million over a three-year period.
The clean Marex wordmark and arrow logo will be featured across the front of the Nottingham Forest men's and women's first-team playing and replica kits, as well as the club's netball team dresses. In addition to primary kit placement, Marex will become Forest's official Global Markets Partner and exclusive provider of foreign exchange and financial services.
The announcement resolves Forest's search for a principal partner just ahead of the new Premier League campaign, following a pre-season without a front-of-shirt sponsor. The transition also aligns with the Premier League's upcoming voluntary ban on gambling companies occupying front-of-shirt sponsorship inventory.
