1. FC Köln 2021 Diversity Kit Released - Teams Up With City's Ice Hockey Team
Just as in previous year, German Bundesliga club 1. FC Köln will play with a special jersey to promote tolerance and equality, in sport and society. But this time, 1. FC Köln even teamed up with city's ice hockey team Kölner Haie for the message.
Both 1. FC Köln (German Bundesliga team) and Kölner Haie (Ice Hockey Team) will wear special Diversity kits this weekend, under the motto “Live as you are! Together for Diversity”. Köln will wear the kit against Hertha BSC on Saturday, Kölner Haie against Bremerhaven on Sunday.
Rainbow Logos - 1. FC Köln 2021 Diversity Kit
The special Köln Diversity kit is based on the regular 2020-2021 home kit. The difference is that the REWE front and the DEVK sleeve sponsor logos feature rainbow colors. All other elements are the same as usual.
“1. FC Köln and the Kölner Haie are the two biggest sports teams in Köln. This is something we want to use, to stand up for diversity. 1. FC Köln stand for diversity on the pitch and in the stands. Diversity has lots of dimensions, be it where you’re from, your gender or sexual orientation. We want to send a powerful signal, in which we show the flag for acceptance and equality – over the borders of our sports and supporters,” said 1. FC Köln Managing Director, Alexander Wehrle.
Köln 20-21 Home Kit
The Uhlsport Köln 2020-21 shirt has a classic design in white with red applications. The standout feature of the Uhlsport Köln 20-21 jersey are two red vertical centre bars.
One day after Köln's Bundesliga game against Hertha BSC, the Kölner Haie will take on Pinguins Bremerhaven in special kits. The numbers on the back of the shirt will be in rainbow colours, and the Diversity Day campaign logo will be seen on the back of the neck.
“It is part of our responsibility to society to stand up for openness and to take a position towards this important topic. I am pleased and it is important that we, together with FC, position ourselves publicly and make that known. Whilst we remain in the times of a pandemic, both clubs and all parts of society face huge economics challenges, with this engagement taking on a higher importance than ever before,” said Philipp Walter, Kölner Haie Managing Director.
The 1. FC Köln diversity shirt will be available in the FC fan shops to mark Diversity Day. The proceeds from the sale of the special shirts will benefit the 1. FC Köln Foundation.

Manchester United 26-27 Home Kit Debuted
In the match that just ended, Manchester United players debuted their new 2026-27 home kit. It also marked the first time Manchester United has worn next season’s kit before the current season has even ended.
Anyway, it turned out to be a successful debut, as they secured a 3-2 victory over Nottingham Forest. At the same time, Bruno Fernandes registered his 20th assist of the season, becoming the player with the most assists in a single Premier League season, matching the records of Kevin De Bruyne and Thierry Henry.
