Updated with better pictures. APOEL FC and Asteras Tripolis of Cyprus have today released special-edition shirts, made by Macron and inspired by the 200th anniversary of the Greek Revolution.
The Greek War of Independence started in 1821 and ultimately led to Greece gaining independence from the Ottoman Empire.

The Macron APOEL & Asteras Tripolis 2021 Anniversary jerseys are blue with a white cross on the front, inspired by the first flag of Greece. An inscription on the back of the Macron APOEL & Asteras Tripolis 2021 Anniversary shirt reads "FREEDOM OR DEATH".
Celebrating the anniversary, APOEL and Asteras Tripolis are set to play a friendly "when possible".
