Borussia Dortmund will wear a special shirt with a rainbow-colored sponsor logo in the 'Klassiker' against Bayern Munich this weekend.
Under the motto "Borussia connects", the captain's armband in the Bundesliga top match on Saturday evening will also carry the rainbow colors.

At Borussia Dortmund, “Borussia connects” is the umbrella for numerous campaigns and initiatives. BVB advocates a diverse society and against all forms of discrimination in the long term and continuously. In the past, this included an event in memory of the homosexual victims of National Socialism as well as action days against sexism and homophobia. BVB also took part in the most recent CSD parades in Dortmund and in the European project “OUT”, which strengthens the LGBTIQ community in football. BVB is also a model location for the KoFaS project “Diversity in the stadium - access, protection and participation” gGmbH. It develops and implements measures to make the stadium visit more inviting for LGBTIQ fans and to make a diverse audience feel welcome.
The club did not release any details on whether this one-off jersey will be available to buy.
Although not directly stated, the move is likely also in response to Bayern Munich sleeve sponsor Qatar Airways. Homosexuality is illegal in Qatar, with a punishment of up to 3 years in prison.
