Update: The Japan national football team debuted the special Adidas 100th anniversary jersey in a match against Japan's U24. The Japan U24 wore the white Adidas 2020 Japan away kit.

Adidas and the Japan Football Association (JFA) celebrate the 100th anniversary of the association (September 10, 1921) with a spectacular special-edition kit.

The new Japan 100th Anniversary kit takes inspiration from the one worn by the first national selection in 1930 as well as from the uniform from the 1936 Olympics in Berlin when they reached the Last 8 for the first time.

The kit will be used by both the first team and U24s on June 3rd and June 5th, respectively.
