Effective immediately, the club will be known as Columbus SC - or Columbus Soccer Club. “The Crew” does not appear on the official crest but will still be seen as a standalone name around the stadium and on merchandise.
The new Columbus logo features the shape of the Ohio flag with "Columbus" at the top and SC at the bottom. Between it is a flag-inspired design with a large, blocky, white “C”.
“The current direction of our Club and our city provides a natural time to examine our identity going forward,” said Crew President & General Manager Tim Bezbatchenko.
“Our identity and brand evolution includes a shift in our mindset to be consistent contenders on the pitch, but also includes evolving our look both in the community and across competitions [...] We are Columbus Soccer Club, we are The Crew, and we will always be the Black & Gold.”
Following the initial leaks of the Columbus SC logo, fans were not happy, especially with the club ditching 'The Crew' from its name.
This prompted the club to issue the following statement on Sunday afternoon.
“Recently, images have surfaced depicting a new logo for Columbus Crew SC,” the statement read. “The Crew and the Black and Gold remain at our core, and we continue to embrace and respect our heritage while modernizing our marks as our club and the city of Columbus evolve. We look forward to revealing those in their entirety in the near future.”
Columbus Crew already heavily changed their logo in 2015, when they ditched the iconic Crew from its crest in favor of a roundel design.

Hanoi FC Uses Same Adidas Template as Mercedes F1 Shirt
Vietnamese V.League 1 side Hanoi FC and Adidas have unveiled the first kits from their new partnership, with the design immediately sparking discussion over its unusual short Three Stripes layout across the shoulders.
The shirt uses a new Adidas template with short 3-Stripes on the shoulders and a classic crew neck, a design primarily seen on takedown jersey (fan version). The same template is also used by Mercedes-AMG PETRONAS Formula 1, including the team's latest “Vanda Bloom” collection. The purple colourway closely matches Hanoi FC's traditional identity.
The shirt uses a mixed construction: the body features standard Adidas Climacool fabric, while the sleeves use Player-version material.

CD Toledo 26-27 Home Kit Released
Spanish Tercera Federación side CD Toledo has officially unveiled its new home kit for the 26-27 campaign, manufactured by Joma. Presented under the slogan "Identidad. Puro Toledo," the release completes the club's uniform lineup for the upcoming season.
The Joma CD Toledo 2026-27 home jersey offers a classic and refined aesthetic, centered around the club's traditional rich green colorway. It features a sharp white polo collar and matching white sleeve cuffs, both enhanced with intricate subtle detailing along the edges. The shirt is complemented by white Joma branding, the club's crest on the left chest, and the La Sagra 0.0 sponsor on the front.
The launch of the green home strip rounds out CD Toledo's 26-27 kit set, following the earlier reveals of their black and gold pinstriped away kit and a 1990s-inspired gray third kit.
Aston Villa Announce 8Xbet as Official Asian Betting Partner
Aston Villa have officially confirmed online sportsbook operator 8Xbet as the club's Official Betting Partner in Asia. The regional partnership aims to bolster the Premier League side's commercial reach across the Far East through localized digital campaigns, fan engagement activations, and branded assets.
The agreement follows Aston Villa's recent pre-season tour across Asia and replaces their previous regional collaboration with NOVA88. 8Xbet is already well known within English football, having previously secured regional Asian betting partnerships with clubs such as Manchester City and Chelsea.
As Premier League regulations place tighter restrictions on front-of-shirt gambling sponsorships in the domestic UK market, clubs increasingly look toward geo-targeted overseas partnerships to maintain commercial revenue in Asian territories.
