No More Adidas - Georgia Sign Macron Deal
We have international football news, as the Georgian national team recently signed a multi-year deal with Italian sportswear brand, Macron. The company will replace Adidas, who were previously in charge of supplying the nation's kits.
Macron Replace Adidas
Adidas started their contract with the Georgian football federation back in 2014 and have been a sponsor up until the end of 2021. Now Macron are taking their place, agreeing to a 6-year-deal with Georgia. Not only the men's national team will be receiving match and training wear, but also the futsal team among others.
The Georgian national team will be outfitted with new training and other technical gear. Most importantly, they will receive fully bespoke kits from Macron, something Adidas failed to do during their eight year partnership.
We think this deal is beneficial to both parties, as Macron expand their reach and Georgia receives specially designed jerseys. Macron want to incorporate Georgian symbols and history into their designs, which is their strategy for other partners as well.
