Turkish Süper Lig Teams Swap Out Sponsors to Promote 'Turkovac' Vaccine
The Turkish Süper Lig was home to an extraordinary sponsor event this weekend as most teams in the league were wearing one-off jerseys featuring a display for the Turkovac vaccine instead of their regular sponsors.
15 teams from the league, including the likes of Besiktas, Fenerbahce and Galatasaray, saw their front, back, sleeve and short sponsors replaced by the logo of Turkey's Covid-19 vaccine, Turkovac. The remainder of the league will promote the new vaccine during the next round of matches.
Turkovac is a vaccine developed in Turkey that was claimed to be 100% effective against the Delta variant of the virus, although there's been criticism about a lack of transparency in regards to the studies conducted prior to its approval.
