Barcelona B to Be Renamed "Barça Atlètic"

FC Barcelona will change the name of their second team from Barcelona B to Barça Atlètic from the 20222-2023 season. This was approved at the board of directors meeting held today in La Jonquera.

Barcelona B are the reserve team of FC Barcelona. They currently play in Primera División RFEF, Spain's third division.

Barça Atlètic to Use Same Logo & Kits As First Team

Barça Atlètic was the official name of the subsidiary team back in 1970 when it was founded. In 1990, it was renamed Barcelona B and later in 2008, Joan Laporta changed it back to Barça Atlètic. A few years later, Sandro Rosell changed it back to Barcelona B.

It is expected that Barça Atlètic will be using the same logo and kits as the first team. Barcelona Atlètic had their own logo when they were founded.
