New Arsenal FC 22-23 Squad Numbers Announced

Arsenal are one of the most active clubs this summer transfer window, and the Gunners also spend the most money so far (€132m). It is very obvious that Arsenal are pushing for a top 4 spot by all means, and are willing to invest a lot of money in new players to achieve their goals.

Arsenal 2022-2023 Squad Numbers

First of all, Arsenal bought Gabriel Jesus (€52.5m), Oleksandr Zinchenko (€35m), Fábio Vieira (€35m), Matt Turner (€6.36m) and young Brazilian winger Marquinhos (€3.5m) so far.

Marquee signing Gabriel Jesus will wear shirt number 9, which was previously worn by legends of the game such as Nicolas Anelka. Zinchenko gets number 35, Vieira settled for shirt number 21, Turner gets number 30 and Marquinhos took number 27.

Additionally, players like William Saliba, Héctor Bellerín, Lucas Torreira, Ainsley Maitland-Niles, Reiss Nelson, Pablo Marí and Rúnar Alex Rúnarsson (#13) are returning from loan.

Of course, Arsenal will look to offload some players before the new season begins since they also hold the record for the highest negative balance (€-118m).

There are already rumours regarding a move for German goalkeeper Bernd Leno, who was linked with Fulham. Kieran Tierney (Manchester City), Granit Xhaka (Bayer 04 Leverkusen) and Gabriel Magalhães (Juventus) were also linked with other clubs already.
