Adidas to Massively Increase Kit Prices
The price of Adidas replica shirts will rise from €90 to €100 in 2023, while authentic jerseys will jump from €140 to €160, according to PSG kit insiders La Source Parisienne.
Adidas to Increase Prices By More Than 10%
The first talk of Adidas jerseys becoming more expensive came earlier this year, with supply chain issues and the rising cost of materials and fuel cited as the reason. An estimated 5-10% increase was reported to be on the way, but if the info from La Source Parisienne is correct, then the new prices represent a rise of 11.1% in the case of replica shirts and about 14.3% for authentic versions.

Adidas' net income for the 2022 financial year is already estimated to be €1.8 to €1.9 billion greater than their net income in 2021, while their net sales, gross margin and operating margin are also set to improve significantly. With these new price hikes in their football department, they will be on course for even bigger gains for 2023, even in the event of a slight drop in sales.
What do you think of these new prices? Would you be willing to pay €100 for a replica shirt? Do you think the higher prices will discourage people from buying shirts? Let us know in the comments.
