Lukas Podolski Leaves Adidas for Hummel
In some news that went under the radar, World Cup Winner Lukas Podolski is now a brand ambassador for Hummel, after being an Adidas athlete for almost the entirety of his career.
Podolski Joins Hummel
Hummel have just launched their LP10 lifestyle collection in collaboration with Podolski, who joined the brand in January of this year. He had been contracted to Adidas since the start of his career and was one of their main faces around his peak years. Although he may have dropped out of the big leagues a few years ago, he is still playing in Poland with Górnik Zabrze, after spells in Japan and Turkey.
The LP10 collection is made up of basic tracksuit pieces in black, khaki green and light grey with LP10 and Hummel branding. Take a look at some of the items below.
Hummel have quite a big presence in football, making the kits for many teams around Europe, but they do not produce any high end boots. Therefore don't tend to sign many football players. Podolski continues to wear Adidas X Speedflow for Górnik Zabrze as Hummel don't have anything to offer him in the footwear department.

Nonetheless, Podolski is well-liked character as well as a World Cup winner who is winding down his career at his hometown club - who happen to wear Hummel kits - in an unglamourous league. He may not wear their boots but he is not a bad character to have representing the Danish brand.
