Ridiculous? Spain Wear Old Teamwear Socks
The Spanish national team did not wear the uniform that Adidas originally intended in the 2022 FIFA World Cup. But not only that - the red socks Spain were wearing did not match the shirt and the shorts.
Luis Enrique requested Spain to wear all-red the day before the first match
The official uniform combo presented by Adidas consists of a red shirt, navy shorts, and navy socks. However, as per the request of manager Luis Enrique (made a day ahead of the match), Spain wear all-red in all group stage matches - he wants the kit to fit with the nickname, "La Roja".
Luis Enrique Requests Spanish RFEF to Wear All-Red - Spain Wear Unfitting Red/Black Adidas Adi 21 Socks
The socks Spain wore against Costa Rica and Germany were red with an old, black Adidas logo. Both do not fit the red and navy shirt. Why? We can already reveal that it is very strange.
Adidas Provide Spain With Custom Correct Socks But Spain Use Adidas Adi 21 Socks in Red/Black
In the official FIFA document, Spain have custom red and yellow socks with the new Adidas logo and other bespoke design elements. There is no info why Spain did not use these correct socks.
In fact, Spain used the same red and black socks in the 2021 UEFA Nations league semi-final against Italy. They also did not fit back then, but hardly anyone took notice.
The Adidas Adi Sock 21 featured the old Adidas logo and unfitting black applications.
Spain's all-red kit is officially the third jersey
Interestingly, Spain's all-red kit is officially the team's "third jersey" in the 2022 World Cup, as revealed by Barcelona-based newspaper Sport. This is visible in official FIFA documents.
Coming Very Soon: Adidas Adi Sock 23 - Pinkish Red/Yellow
What is also noteworthy is that Adidas will soon launch the successor of the Adidas Adi Sock 21 - the Adidas Adi Sock 23. The Adidas Adi Sock 23 is available in a pinkish-red/yellow colorway.

Adidas Germany 'Alternate History' 1992 Collection Leaked
Update - Friday, May 22, 2026: Thanks to our follower @Julifu90, we have an image of the t-shirt of the Adidas Germany EQT 1992 retro collection. It is set to be released in the coming days.
We have the first image of a unique new Adidas Germany retro jacket, showcasing an intriguing new approach from the sportswear brand.
While the design instantly evokes strong nostalgia for the 1990s, this upcoming release is actually an "alternate history" creation. Despite its highly authentic vintage appearance and period-accurate details, this specific track jacket never actually existed in the official Adidas catalogues during the 1990s, making it a brand new addition to their retro-focused lifestyle collection.
To achieve this convincing old-school aesthetic, Adidas has utilized their classic 1992 template as the structural foundation for the design. The garment features a vibrant green base that heavily nods to Germany's traditional away kits of the era. The colors of the German national flag are cleverly completed on the sleeves through large geometric blocks that also recreate the 3 stripes.
The same jacket will also be released for Spain and other Adidas national teams.
