Official: Antonio Rüdiger Leaves Nike For Under Armour

Update: Confirming our previous reports, Antonio Rüdiger, the German superstar of Real Madrid, has left Nike and signed with Under Armour.

Rüdiger had been with Nike since the beginning of his career, but now he has decided to partner with the American sportswear company. Rüdiger made the announcement in a video on Instagram, saying that he shares common values with Under Armour both on and off the pitch. He also mentioned that it is a great honor for him to work with the company.

During Real Madrid's 5-2 victory over Liverpool, Rüdiger wore the Under Armour Clone Magnetico Pro 2 in the stealth black/silver colorway for the first time. He had already been spotted training in the new gear earlier. In the announcement video, Rüdiger is wearing the more clean white/silver colorway.

Rüdiger joins Trent Alexander-Arnold (Liverpool FC) and Tyrone Mings (Aston Villa) as notable footballers who have also signed with Under Armour.

Update: Adding further likelihood to a possible Under Armour contract, Antonio Rüdiger has been spotted wearing a blackout pair of Under Armour Clone Magnetico 2 football boots once again in the latest training session. He was also spotted with branded Under Armour running shoes.

Meanwhile, Rüdiger is still using blackout last-gen Nike Tiempo Legend 8 football boots in official matches.

Real Madrid centre back has been spotted training in blacked out Under Armour Clone Magnetico 2 soccer cleats. The Germany international has worn Nike boots for his entire career, mainly Tiempos, but it seems he may be contemplating a change in sponsor.

Rudiger is still wearing Nike Tiempos in matches and his Instagram bio states he is a Nike athlete for now, but trying out the blacked out boots from Under Armour suggests that his contract with Nike may be up soon. The highest profile players currently contracted to UA are Trent Alexander-Arnold, Tyrone Mings and Matty Cash, so Rudiger would become their biggest name if he were join them from.
