The launch picture of the new Adidas FIFA Women's 2023 ball features the Argentina 2023 Women's World Cup kit. But it is not new...
The Adidas Argentina 2023 home football shirt is essentially the same as the men's 2022 World Cup shirt, with the only difference being that it does not feature the stars that are present on the men's shirt.
Adidas have given Argentina a replica kit for the launch picture
Oddly, Adidas also only supplied the Argentina Women with a replica Aeroready kit. It remains to be seen if Adidas supply the Argentina Women's team with a Heat.Rdy authentic kits for the 2023 FIFA Women's World Cup.
Argentina did receive custom home kits in 2009 and 2015
This is a contrast to the 2007 Women's World Cup when Adidas did release custom kits for the Argentine women's team. In the 2019 Women's World Cup, Argentina wore a previously unseen, Women's exclusive away kit. In 2015, Adidas did also release a bespoke Argentina Women kit.
Many fans and experts have expressed their disappointment with this decision from Adidas. The Argentina women's team has a strong history and dedicated fanbase, and they deserve to have their own distinct kit for the biggest stage in women's football.
