Columbus Crew 2023 Away Kit Released

The new Columbus Crew away jersey was released today. Officially called the VeloCITY kit, it is made by Adidas and will be worn in the 2023 and 2024 MLS seasons.

The inspiration for the VeloCITY kit was movement and speed as the Club look to take the energy and passion of their home city, Columbus, Ohio.

The Adidas Columbus Crew 2023 away shirt is predominantly black, incorporating yellow into the design in the form of the side stripes, hem, and back panels. Furthermore, the Adidas stripes on the shoulders and detailing on the sleeve ends are yellow.

What makes the new Columbus Crew 2023 away kit unique is the pattern. The checkerboard design comes with offset and grain representing speed, velocity, and movement – attributes that embody both the club and the city of Columbus.

Following that theme, the club's mantra of "Never Stand Still" is emblazoned in yellow down the side, while "The Crew" moniker appears in italics on the jock tag position at the hip.
