Toronto FC x Drake Release Lorenzo Insigne Jacket
Toronto FC have collaborated with Drake's clothing brand, October's Very Own, to create a special jacket dedicated to star player Lorenzo Insigne.
Toronto FC x OVO Lorenzo Insigne Jacket
Rapper Drake is a proud Toronto native, often referencing the city in his lyrics and a keen fan of the Toronto Raptors basketball team. Through his clothing brand October's Very Own (OVO), he has collaborated with the University of Toronto as well as MLS side Toronto FC, with whom the brand created a capsule collection of hoodies, tracksuits and caps last summer.
Last summer's OVO x Toronto FC collection.
The second project of that collaboration has just been released and it's based around star player Lorenzo Insigne. The Neapolitan forward joined Toronto in January 2022 and modelled the first OVO collection last July, but this time he features on the garment itself. The black track top has the OVO logo and Toronto crest on opposing sides of the chest, while the back is all about Insigne. Check it out below.
Lorenzo il Magnifico is written in white Gothic script above and below his beloved number 24. Italian historical figure Lorenzo de Medici was known as Il Magnifico Lorenzo, and Insigne inherited this moniker thanks to his footballing talent. Either side of his number are the Italian and Canadian flags.
This is the third coming together of Drake's fondness for Napoli and track tops, after being spotted wearing both recent and retro Napoli jackets in the last few months. It seems that even the notorious "Drake curse" won't be enough to stop i Partenopei from landing their first Scudetto in 33 years, although the famously superstitious folk in Naples would probably still prefer if he'd wear something else.
