While Nike Discontinue Leather, Charly Release New Leather Football Boots, and It Brings Back Memories of Nike's Tiempo
From summer 2023, Nike will stop the use of kangaroo leather for their football boots, which mainly affects the Tiempo silo. Now Mexican brand Charly have launched their latest leather soccer cleat, and it could be a good alternative to Tiempo aficionados. Introducing the Charly Legendario 2.0 football boots.
The Charly Legendario soccer boots are endorsed by Mexican national team players Hector Moreno and Greta Espinoza.
It brings me back to the days of playing when I was younger
"These cleats are the real deal. Charly really created something special with this new Legendario 2.0. It brings me back to the days of playing when I was younger. The full grain leather really holds up well on the pitch,” said Mexican National Team soccer star Hector Moreno.

The new Charly Legendario 2.0 football boots have a "full-grain leather" upper. Charly do not mention which exact type of leather is used, but we expect it to be cow leather as it is "locally sourced" (and the boots are produced in Leon, Mexico).
Indeed, the whole upper and stitching of the Charly Legendario 2.0 2023 football boots remind us of the Nike Tiempo Legend 4 and 5 football boots, which are players' favorites back then.
The full-grain leather is used from the toe box to the heel cup. In addition, the Charly Legendario 2023 soccer cleats feature a breathable synthetic lining and a single-layer leather tongue.
Meanwhile, the TPU sole plate has a virtually identical stud configuration to the Nike Mercurial Superfly 6. This surely can't be a bad thing, as it is already top-level approved by Nike's best players.
Design-wise, the Charly Legendario 2023 football boots are very classic. The Legendario 2.0 is available in white, black, red, and gold with black.
