Egyptian record club Al Ahly SC slightly tweaked their logo last summer for the 2022-23 season onwards, which went under the radar for a lot of fans. Let's take a look at what changed.

Curiously, the updated crest can only be found on the 22-23 kits, whereas the official website and social media profiles all still use the older version.

Here is a side-by-side comparison of Al Ahly's old and new logo.

The first, most noticeable change is the omission of the many stars at the bottom, as well as the inscription "Club of the century". A single star now sits below the crest, with the top four stars only slighlty changing in style.

Furthermore, the eagle in the center has been expanded, with 'Al Ahly' being moved to the top of the crest, now reading 'Al Ahly FC'. The red sections have also been updated with darker red areas.
