Football legends from around the world gathered for a charity soccer match in Ljubljana to raise funds for flood victims. The match, sponsored by Nike, was a star-studded event with retired players showcasing the whole range of football boots on the pitch.

Portuguese legend Luis Figo stood out on the field wearing the iconic Nike Total 90 III football boots.

The Nike Total 90 Laser III boots are renowned for their innovative combination of leather, nylon/synthetics, and plastic. They are considered the most iconic boots of the Nike Total 90 Laser series. These third-generation football boots boast a specially designed upper made of premium lightweight Teijin synthetic leather that is known for its durability. The side lacing system, along with the alternate eyelet holes, creates a cleaner surface for kicking.
Two other famous retired players, Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Robert Pires, wore the latest high-end football boots from Nike and Puma, respectively. Meanwhile, in big contrast, Germany's Klose donned the classic Adidas Copa Mundial.
What makes Klose's boot choice remarkable is that he had been sponsored by Nike for the majority of his career. Klose even was not allowed to wear his Nike shoes for Germany due to a controversial boot deal until around 2007. However, after the end of his career as a coach, he switched back to the Copa Mundial he did not like to wear as a player.
Other football boots that graced the pitch were the Nike Premier III in a classic white/red colorway, the 11pro model of Kroos but in the 14-15 black colorway, a blackout Copa Mundial, and the Adidas F50 Adizero IV from the Fall 2013 "Brazil World Cup Heat" Samba Pack.

Adidas Celebrates Messi's 19 World Cup Goals With '19 On His Back' Post
Adidas have celebrated Lionel Messi's stunning free-kick goal in Argentina's 3-1 victory over Jordan at the 2026 FIFA World Cup. Following the match, the brand posted an image of Messi wearing Argentina's 2026 away shirt with the number 19, paying tribute to the 19 World Cup goals he has scored across six tournament appearances. At the same time, the image serves as a nostalgic nod to the young Messi, who made his World Cup debut wearing the No. 19 shirt exactly 20 years ago.
The post features the caption "19 on his back, 19 in the back of the net" alongside "full circle. el ultimo tango", referencing his return to the squad number he first wore for the national team. Messi came off the bench to score in the 80th minute, marking his sixth goal of the tournament and extending his lead in the Golden Boot race at 39 years old.

Following a recent change in club management, Singapore Premier League side Tanjong Pagar United have introduced a new club crest for the 2026-27 season. First spotted in an AFC licensing document earlier this month, the updated emblem replaces the club's traditional hand-drawn badge with a modernized design that has quickly drawn criticism from fans for looking overly generic and being AI-generated (it probably was).
The new management took charge on June 1, but there is currently no official confirmation on whether the team's kit colors will also be altered to complement the newly introduced visual identity.
