Exclusive: Nike Considering Releasing More Remake Kits in the Future?
- Nike's Strategy: Nike is not likely to release more remake kits frequently, despite the popularity of Adidas' reissue kits.
- USA Reissue Kit: Nike is planning to release a USA reissue kit in Fall 2024, potentially marking the 25th anniversary of the 1999 Women's World Cup victory.
- Limited Reissues: Besides the USA kit, no other team reissue kits are planned for Fall 2024, unlike Adidas' approach to releasing retro-inspired kits.
Adidas just some days ago released another set of remake football kits, which proved very popular. Will Nike follow Adidas' success and release more reissue kits as well?
Nike to Release USA Reissue Kit in 2024, But No Other Certainly
Footy Headlines can leak that a Nike USA reissue football kit is coming in Fall 2024, possibly celebrating the 25-years anniversary of the US Soccer team winning the Women's World Cup in 1999. However, other teams won't be getting a reissue kit until Fall 2024, according to a Footy Headlines source.
Nike have only brought back an old kit once to celebrate 20 years of the partnership with Barcelona, in 2018-2019. While there are some great options for remake kits, including a remake of the Brazil 2002 kit or an iconic Inter kit from the Ronaldo era, it seems like Nike won't change their strategy and release remake kits more often.
This is in stark contrast to Adidas, who have released more than a dozen remake kits or retro-inspired kits in the past two years alone.
Should release more remake kits? Let us know in the comments below.
