The concept itself is inspired by a Converse soccer jersey that actually existed - the Atlético Nacional 2001-2002 home kit. The Colombian side was sponsored by Converse for two years, from 2001 to 2002.
The Converse Liverpool partnership is a lifestyle only
Footy Headlines knows that Nike won't release any Liverpool FC football kit this year, and certainly not after that. Indeed, the first official Converse Liverpool collection featured green & gold football shorts but no kit. The Converse LFC deal is lifestyle-only. Nike has owned Converse since 2003.
