- New Kit Supplier: Wolverhampton Wanderers has partnered with Sudo, a new sports brand owned by the club's owner, Fosun Group, replacing Castore as their technical kit supplier starting the 2024-25 season.
- Lower Kit Prices: Sudo's model aims for lower pricing by eliminating traditional brand licensing, with pro jerseys costing £80 and replica jerseys £58.
- Player Involvement: Wolves players, including the captain, were actively involved in the design process, providing feedback on the look, feel and functionality of the new kits.
Confirming the leaks, Wolverhampton Wanderers has partnered with new sports brand Sudo (officially "SUDU", founded by Wolves owner Fosun Group) as its new technical kit supplier starting from the 2024-25 season.
Wolves Announce Long-Term Kit Partnership with New Brand Sudu, Owned by Club Owner Fosun Sports
Sudo was launched by Levy Merchandising with Fosun Sports Group's backing. The new sports brand will design and manufacture all Wolves kits, "promising bespoke designs that honor the club's heritage while enhancing performance".
Financial aspects could be very favorable or very unfavorable for Wolves
The exact length and the financial details of the Sudo Wolverhampton Wanderers deal have not been disclosed. However, for us, Fosun is practically an in-house brand - financial aspects could be very favorable or unfavorable for Wolves, depending on how much money Fosun will take away from Wolves sales.
Wolves players were actively involved in the kit design process, providing feedback on look, feel, and functionality. Wolves captain Maximilian Kilman praised the collaboration, highlighting the positive experience and the quality of the final product.
Our philosophy is that a pro jersey should not cost £125, Wolves' will be £80. A replica jersey should not cost £80, Wolves' will be £58.
According to the press release, Sudo's "model eliminates traditional brand licensing, reducing costs and enabling affordable pricing". Pro jerseys will be priced at £80, while replica jerseys will be £58, significantly lower than Premier League peers. Wolves explicitly mentions Liverpool's expensive kits.
The Wolves 24-25 training kit will be launched on Friday, 28th June. The Sudo 24-25 home, away, and third kits will be released throughout the summer.
