Here is Why Olympics Kits Have Tiny Logos
- Olympic Kit Regulations: The 2024 Olympics kits require a much smaller national emblem than FIFA regulations allow, with a maximum size of 25cm².
- Size Difference: FIFA allows crest sizes up to 100 cm², while the Olympics restricts them to 25cm².
- Specific Examples: France, Japan and Brazil have all released their 2024 Olympics kits, which all feature the smaller sized logos to adhere to the Olympic rules.
So far we've had the first look at the kits for France, Japan and Brazil for the Paris 2024 Olympics, all of which feature tiny national football crests due to the Olympics kit regulations.
Olympics 2024 Kits Feature Tiny Crest
The 2024 Olympics national team kits will all feature minor changes to their regular kits, with the football crest in particular being significantly reduced in size to comply with Olympic kit regulations.
In Section 07 - NOC Emblems and National Identity, Olympics has stipulated that:
One national flag or NOC emblem, with a maxi mum size of 25cm2, must be positioned at chest level on the front of the shirt. It shall not limit the legibility of the number positioned on the front of the shirt.
100 cm² vs 25 cm² - Usual FIFA vs Special Olympics regulations
In the 2024 Olympics, crests are only allowed to be 25 cm²
In the 2024 Olympics, crests are only allowed to have a maximum size of 25 cm², while FIFA allows crests sizes up to 100 cm² in its own tournaments.
