"Roman" Augsburg 24-25 Third Kit Most Popular Kit in Club History, Team Releases Amazing Limited Edition Box

  • Popular Kit: FC Augsburg's 2024-2025 third kit, known as the "Roman Kit," is the most popular in club history, inspired by the city's Roman Empire origins.
  • Limited Edition Box: The club released a limited-edition box containing unique items like a gold plaque, sandstone with Roman inscription, and a glowing 1907, which sold out instantly.
  • Second Chance: Due to high demand, Augsburg will offer fans a second chance to purchase the third kit via a pre-order window, as the initial stock sold out.

When FC Augsburg released new kits, not many outside the club's bubble took notice. However, this totally changed with the team's 2024-2025 third kit.

Augsburg was a city of the Roman Empire

The Augsburg 24-25 third kit, called the "Roman Kit," is inspired by the origins of the city of Augsburg being part of the Roman Empire. It combines a maroon red base with gold logos, plus a Roman-inspired pattern. This style is close to the kits of AS Roma, who got a maroon and gold 24-25 home kit.

The Augsburg 2024-25 third shirt has been launched with an intriguing campaign, featuring the old Roman name of Augsburg, Augusta Vindelicum.

The shirt sold out extremely fast. It has been the club's most demanded shirt so far, according to the club. To further hype the launch and offer fans an exclusive piece, Augsburg also released a limited-edition box.

FC Augsburg Limited Edition Third Kit Box

Priced at €179.95, the Roman look special box was limited to just 150 pieces, ensuring its status as a highly coveted item. The box itself is a work of art, featuring embossed lettering and a luxurious foam inlay. Inside, fans will find a gold metal plaque with a unique number, a piece of sandstone with a Roman inscription, and the standout piece - a gold glowing 1907 (rechargeable).

The attention to detail is simply astonishing. The inclusion of a sandstone with a Roman inscription adds a genuine historical touch, perfectly complementing the kit's theme. The gold glowing 1907 is a clever nod to the club's foundation year and provides a striking visual element.

Unsurprisingly, the limited edition box sold out almost instantly.

Augsburg to Offer Fans Second Chance to Get Kit

Footy Headlines has received exclusive information that Augsburg will offer fans a second chance to own the Augsburg 24-25 third kit from tomorrow, 13 August 2024. The club will tomorrow open a pre-order window - the club will have to post-produce the kits as the initial stock completely sold out as demand was much higher than expected.

The kit has been the club's most demanded shirt so far

We have imagined how the design would look as an AS Roma kit, using the perfect recreation of designer grhaer9. We are sure that many would prefer it over Adidas' design.

AS Roma Kit Based om Augsburg Design

What do you think of the FC Augsburg 24-25 third kit and the limited-edition box? Does it justify the hype? Is it better than Roma's 24-25 kit by Adidas? Let us know in the comments below.

Juventus Announce Yokohama Tyres Partnership

Juventus and Japanese tyre manufacturer Yokohama Tyres have officially agreed on a new multi-year partnership, with Yokohama becoming an Official Partner of the Bianconeri. The deal forms a key part of the Japanese company's broader strategy to accelerate its brand awareness and expansion across Europe.

As part of the agreement, Yokohama will receive prominent exposure at the Allianz Stadium during Juventus home matches, including pitch-side LED screen advertising, in-stadium branding, and hospitality access. The partnership will also encompass integrated digital activations and fan engagement initiatives across Juventus' global social media ecosystem.

Football kit enthusiasts will best remember Yokohama Tyres as Chelsea's primary front-of-shirt sponsor from 2015 to 2020 (15-20). While the new agreement with Juventus is an official club partnership rather than a kit sponsorship, it marks a significant return for the brand into elite European football.

Cape Town City 26-27 Home Kit Draws Striking Boca Juniors Comparisons

South African club Cape Town City and Umbro have officially unveiled their new home kit for the 26-27 season to mark ten years of club heritage. Shortly after the launch, shirt enthusiasts quickly pointed out the undeniable resemblance to another high-profile release from earlier this month: Boca Juniors' 26-27 home kit.

Both jerseys rely on the exact same core aesthetic, combining a rich blue base with a prominent, wide yellow horizontal band across the chest. While Adidas crafted Boca's traditional look with yellow three stripes on the shoulders and a classic collar, Umbro opted for distinct yellow shoulder paneling and collar trims for Cape Town City. Both shirts also feature dark blue central sponsor branding running right across the yellow chest stripe.

While blue and yellow are integral to Cape Town City's visual identity, adopting the iconic chest band format gives the South African side an uncanny resemblance to the Argentine giants. Intentional homage or pure coincidence, the design delivers a bold and memorable aesthetic for the upcoming campaign.

Manchester United Forced to Modify Third Kit Front-of-Shirt Sponsor for UEFA Champions League

Manchester United's newly released third kit made headlines with its unique vertically aligned crest and logos: the Adidas logo, the simplified Red Devil icon, and a minimalist Snapdragon emblem. This sleek arrangement was a creative collaboration between Manchester United, Adidas, and Snapdragon.

However, in the UEFA Champions League, the Red Devils will be required to add the "Snapdragon" wordmark beneath the fire ball emblem. This change comes down to strict UEFA Equipment Regulations, which mandate that main front-of-shirt sponsor branding must remain consistent across all registered match kits (home, away, and third).

Big thanks to @jerseystory_vn for the comparison graphic.
