Sao Paulo 2025 "Grey Days" Special Kit Released

New Balance has unveiled a special grey jersey for Brazilian giants São Paulo FC as part of the brand's annual "Grey Days" celebration. This initiative sees New Balance exalt its historical relationship with the color grey, a signature hue for the brand since the 1980s.

New Balance intentionally introduced grey in 1980 with a running shoe designed to stand out from competitors and complement the urban concrete and asphalt landscape. Since then, grey has become a fixture in New Balance's identity, with numerous exclusive grey-themed releases each year.

The New Balance Sao Paulo 2025 Grey Days special shirt features a clean grey base. It is accented with a white V-neck collar that incorporates São Paulo's iconic tricolour (red, white, and black) stripes down the center.

The New Balance logo on the right chest is rendered in black, while the São Paulo FC crest is placed on the left side in its standard colours. Sponsor logos, such as Superbet and Ademicon, are applied in grey with white borders to maintain the predominantly grey aesthetic of the NB Sao Paulo 2025 Grey Days special football shirt.

Beyond the brand celebration, the shirt also pays homage to a significant moment in São Paulo's history. It is inspired by the unmistakable grey uniform worn by the goalkeepers who defended the Tricolor during their victorious 1975 Campeonato Paulista campaign. A special commemorative detail is found on the inside of the shirt: on the reverse side of the club crest, there is a mention of the 50th anniversary of this 1975 Paulistão title.

The commemorative uniform is completed with grey shorts and grey socks. It is expected that São Paulo will wear this special "Grey Days" kit for only one match in the Brazilian Championship, potentially against Grêmio at the Morumbis on May 17th.
