Adidas USA 1994 World Cup Remake Kit + Full Collection Released - No Crest Due to Nike Deal
- Adidas Release: Adidas has released a remake of the USA 1994 World Cup away kit as part of a larger collection.
- Crest Omission: The remake jersey does not feature the official USA crest due to Nike's current contract with the U.S. Soccer Federation.
- Marketing Strategy: Adidas is marketing the jersey as a 'Denim Graphic Jersey' to avoid directly associating it with the United States National Team, focusing instead on its retro appeal.
Update - 10 March 2026: Adidas has officially launched the USA 1994 Denim Remake collection, featuring 12 items, and it is now available on Adidas online stores.
Update - 25 February 2026: In a surprising and quiet move, Adidas has released a remake of one of the most iconic shirts in football history: the USA 1994 World Cup away kit. However, there is a massive catch: the jersey is missing the USA crest.
Adidas USA 2026 1994 Remake Football Kit
The new Adidas USA 2026 1994 away remake jersey faithfully recreates the original 1994 kit design, featuring the faux-denim texture and the massive, distorted white stars floating across the fabric.
However, because Nike currently holds the contract with the U.S. Soccer Federation, Adidas legally cannot use the official USA crest or explicitly market it as a national team product.
Because of that, any retro-inspired product from Adidas would have to be released without official US Soccer branding. The design worn by Rodman keeps the distinctive 1994 aesthetic but removes federation identifiers, making it a lifestyle remake.
Adidas has listed the product on its official online stores simply as the "Denim Graphic Jersey".
Instead, the product description vaguely states that the jersey "pays homage to adidas' rich history" and "speaks to all vintage and retro lovers," carefully avoiding any direct mention of the United States National Team.
A Rare "Reverse" Remake
Usually, we see the opposite scenario: Clubs release retro kits featuring their crest, but they are forced to remove the original manufacturer's logo because they have a different technical sponsor today.
A prime example is Manchester United, which currently sells retro shirts with the club crest but without the original Umbro branding, as they are sponsored by Adidas.
In this case, the roles are reversed. Adidas owns the copyright to the iconic "Denim" design pattern, but they do not own the rights to the team. Therefore, we get the manufacturer logo and the design, but no team badge.
Part of the National Teams Remake Collection
This kit is not a piece of the Adidas 2026 Latin National Team Remake collection, which launched in mid-January, featuring retro kits for Argentina, Colombia, Chile, and Mexico.
These Latin American teams are currently sponsored by Adidas (allowing for full branding), the USA kit had to be stripped of its federation badges and released quietly as a lifestyle item.
Adidas USA 94 Remake Collection
The USA 2026 Denim jersey launches on Tuesday, 10 March 2026.
What do you think of this crest-less USA 1994 remake? Is the "Denim" pattern iconic enough to stand on its own without the badge? Let us know in the comments below.
What if? Adidas x Yugoslavia

Adidas Teams Twinned by Product Code & Design
Update - Sunday, June 7, 2026: As spotted Indonesian jersey experts @Jerseyforum, Adidas teams with the same design also share the product. In particular, they do not have the usual Team + Shirt Type Name (e.g. FCB A 26 JSY), but are called Custom Licensed Jersey (CULIC26 JSY).
Templates are not as common as they were in the past, but smaller Adidas teams still do not have custom designs always. In the outgoing 25-26 season, teams such as Düsseldorf, Al Ahly, and Sparta Praha all used the same Locker Room design with custom colors.

USA Wear Special Rainbow Numbers Against Germany
The United States men's national soccer team wore special rainbow-colored namesets during their friendly match against Germany on June 6, 2026, in support of Pride Month. The unique multicolored design was applied exclusively to the names and numbers on the back of the players' jerseys, while the front of the kits retained their standard gray appearance.
The USA Women's Team also used the Pride numbers in the friendly match against 2027 Women's World Cup hosts Brazil in São Paulo where they were defeated 2-1.
