Update - Mar 20, 2026: Following their historic qualification for the 2026 FIFA World Cup, the Curaçao National Football Team has officially revealed an absolutely stunning new bespoke Adidas kit. This officially confirms that Adidas has officially upgraded Curaçao within their team hierarchy, granting them fully custom kit designs.
The overarching deal between the brand and the federation was secured just weeks before the World Cup qualification (WC qualification was in sight); the bespoke kit treatment was highly conditional - the country got teamwear kits. The final decision to upgrade Curaçao to a custom design was made just after they officially secured World Cup qualification in November 2025. Had the Blue Wave failed to qualify for the tournament, they would not have received custom kits and would have continued to wear standard teamwear instead.
Why is the Kit Available in May Only?
Because the green light for a bespoke design was only given in November, the short turnaround time heavily impacted production. Due to standard Adidas manufacturing lead times, the custom kits cannot be released immediately. Fans can currently pre-order the shirt via Voetbalshop, but physical stock will only be fully available in mid-May.
The Adidas Curaçao 2026 World Cup home kit is also yet to be released. It is inspired by the waves surrounding the Caribbean island.
All in all, this has been an extremely clever move by Adidas and its partner, Voetbalshop. The 3 stripes not only kit out another country at the World Cup, but also took the chance to release a beautiful kit that is set to be a best-seller.

It remains to be seen how fast Adidas will be able to deliver the unique Curaçao 2026 World Cup jerseys, but they will be released between March and June 2026.

The Adidas x Curaçao kit partnership was announced in collaboration with Dutch sports retailer Voetbalshop rather than a direct Tier 1 contract with Adidas HQ. Consequently, the newly released home and away shirts are based on standard Adidas teamwear. Voetbalshop has labeled these the "2025" or "25/26" kits, and they utilize the most basic Adidas templates. While they serve the purpose for the immediate qualifying matches, they lack the custom graphics, specific trims, and cultural storytelling usually reserved for national teams at a major tournament.
This contrasts sharply with Adidas’s usual strategy for the World Cup. For the 2026 tournament, the Three Stripes "treat every nation the same." They supply all their federations with bespoke designs and high-end performance technology, Climacool+. It would be unprecedented in the modern era for an Adidas-sponsored team to play at the World Cup wearing catalog teamwear that can be bought off the rack for amateur Sunday league sides.
The potential for a bespoke Curaçao kit is massive, as the island's vibrant culture would translate perfectly to the bold design language Adidas has been using recently.
