Blackburn Rovers Face Legal Action from Kit Supplier Macron
Macron has supplied Blackburn's kits since 2021, with the deal set to expire at the end of the current season. The club had been widely expected to switch suppliers, with Head of Commercial Yasir Sufi confirming last October that a tender process for a new kit deal had been completed.
In a statement, Blackburn confirmed: "We have been served with court papers by our technical kit supplier, Macron S.p.A., in relation to a contractual dispute. The claim is being handled by the club with the support of its legal team and it would be inappropriate to comment further while legal proceedings are ongoing."
Despite the legal complications, the partnership has been commercially successful. Rovers' recent anniversary kits celebrating 30 years since their 1995 Premier League title triumph have performed exceptionally well, with retail sales nearly doubling over the past three seasons. The club's 2024/25 third kit alone tripled sales compared to the previous campaign.
The identity of Blackburn's next kit supplier remains unconfirmed as the legal proceedings continue.
