Nike Creates Two Versions of USA 2026 Home Kit
- Nike Kit Versions: Nike has created two retail versions of the USA 2026 World Cup home kit.
- Kit Differences: One version has a smooth front panel for name and number customization, while the other maintains the graphic across the chest; both are otherwise identical.
- FIFA Kit Rules: The reason for the free space on the front is FIFA Kit Rules, which obligate teams to have a free space for the names and numbers.
Nike has produced two different retail versions of the USA 2026 World Cup home kit. Thanks to slooppee for the spot.
Nike Creates Separate USA Kits For Blank and Player Editions
One version features a smooth panel on the front to allow for easier name and number customization, while the other keeps the wavy red-and-white graphic uninterrupted across the chest. Both versions are officially available at retail and are the same except for the front cutout.
The back of both shirts is identical.
Brentford 25-26 Kit Versions
This approach is not a first, but the first time for an important Nike team. Brentford FC also sells two versions of its kits - one with a striped back (replica) and another with a plain back designed for better number visibility and printing (match).
What makes this bad is that if you apply a player name/number after buying the shirt on the full-striped versíon, it is different from the match variant.
The reason for the free space on the front is FIFA Kit Rules, which obligate teams to have a free space for the names and numbers.

Kylian Mbappe to Wear Special World Cup 'Top Scorer' Patch
Kylian Mbappe will wear a special insignia on his France kit to commemorate his achievement as the top scorer of the 2022 World Cup. Following his Golden Boot win in Qatar, where he scored eight goals, the French captain's jersey now features a dedicated patch recognizing this individual accolade.
This addition comes as part of a wider trend of specialized badges seen on national team kits during the 2026 World Cup. Alongside standard tournament patches, various players have been spotted wearing insignias denoting their debut or legacy status.
