White Canada 2026 World Cup Kit to Be Third Kit?

A few days ago, Nike officially unveiled the Canada 2026 World Cup home and away kits. However, the launch came with a major twist that has left the kit community asking a big question regarding a previously leaked design. The black shirt has become the “away” kit, and it seems the white shirt will become the “third” kit.

Leading up to the launch, we had leaked that Canada would be receiving a black jersey. At the time, all intel pointed towards this black shirt being the team's alternative third kit.

Surprisingly, when the official announcement dropped, the Canadian federation and Nike confirmed that the striking black kit is actually the official 2026 away kit.

This official designation completely shakes up the predicted kit lineup. Previously, Footy Headlines had leaked a crisp, white Canada 2026 jersey, which was widely expected to serve as the primary away option.

With the black kit taking the official away slot, it is now highly likely that this white jersey has been pushed down the hierarchy and will officially serve as Canada's third kit for the 2026 World Cup.

Whenever a heavily leaked kit is missing from an official launch, rumors of cancellation begin to swirl. However, in this case, a cancellation is practically impossible.

Not only do we already have official, high-quality product images of the white kit, but the physical shirt has also already been spotted hanging on the racks at several retail stores. The physical stock exists and is ready for consumers, practically guaranteeing a release in the near future.

It remains to be seen when Nike and Canada Soccer will officially drop this white third kit, but it is certainly still on the way.
