We Need Kit Changes in FIFA (EA FC)

  • Community Concept: A new concept by @EAFCconcepts visualizes how kit changes could work in FC27, allowing players to customize their team's kits while adhering to licensing rules by keeping manufacturer and sponsor logos the same.
  • EA's Response: EA's FC Career Mode lead developer, Andreas Wilsdorf, acknowledged the community's desire for kit editing but cited licensing complexities, expressing hope for its potential inclusion in the future.
  • Console Player Limitations: While PC players can use external tools to design and import custom kits, console players lack such options, making an official in-game kit editor or retro kit catalog a high priority for the community.

A highly requested feature for EA Sports FC's Career Mode has been brought to life in a brilliant new concept by @EAFCconcepts, visualizing how kit changes could work in the upcoming FC27.

Kit Changes Community Concept & EA Developer Response

The EA FC community has long asked for the ability to change a club's kits at the end of every season to keep long-term Career Mode saves feeling fresh and realistic. The new concept showcases a menu where players could customize their team's kits for the new season. To navigate the licensing rules, the concept suggests a system where the manufacturer and sponsor logos must remain the same, but the player can freely change the underlying design, patterns, and accent colors.

Another proposed solution in the concept is the return of a classic kit catalog, allowing players to unlock and use a variety of official retro kits from a club's history for the new season.

Interestingly, this popular idea is actually on EA's radar. Recently, FC Career Mode lead developer Andreas Wilsdorf responded to a fan on X regarding the potential for kit editing. Wilsdorf stated that while it is on their wishlist, it is "not as easy with how licensing works and expectations around kits." However, he provided a glimmer of hope by adding that it is "definitely something I would love to see at one point in our game."

PC players can use the fantastic web-based FIFA Kit Creator to design and import their own bespoke kits, and/or download mods with different kits. However, console players are left entirely without options, making an official in-game kit editor or a retro kit catalog a massive priority for the community.

Stoke City 26-27 Away Kit Released

The Stoke City 26-27 away kit has been officially released, introducing a design inspired by the city's connection to aviation history. 1860 München 26-27 Transition Kits Revealed

Following administrative restructuring, a forced relegation to the Regionalliga, and a sudden switch to local supplier Societas, TSV 1860 München are wearing temporary 26-27 transition kits for their upcoming matches. The official Societas kits are still in production and will be presented shortly, prompting the club to use a simplified interim design on the pitch.

The 1860 München 26-27 transition kit features a clean, retro-inspired aesthetic. The plain white player shirt is devoid of a manufacturer logo and prominently displays a classic club crest on the chest. This historical emblem, originally used by the club between 1899 and 1911, notably omits the iconic Munich lion. The accompanying goalkeeper kit is yellow and follows the same minimalist template, with neither shirt featuring the planned "Football for the people" slogan yet.

Societas, a Munich-based brand founded in 2024, recently signed a three-year contract to replace Joma following the club's KGaA insolvency.
