Leicester City to Leave Adidas for Castore

  • Kit Supplier Change: Leicester City is reportedly ending its partnership with Adidas and will sign a kit deal with Castore, starting from the 27-28 season.
  • Contract Details: The agreement with Castore is rumored to be a short-term, two-year contract, though no official statement has been released.
  • End of Adidas Partnership: This new deal will conclude Leicester City's long-standing partnership with Adidas, which has supplied the club's kits since the 18-19 campaign.

Leicester City's time with Adidas is reportedly coming to an end. According to recent rumors circulating on social media, including fan account ++Blue Tinted Glasses++, the Foxes are set to sign a kit deal with Castore, who will take over as the club's official supplier starting from the 27-28 season.

Leicester City & Castore Agree on 2-Year Deal

Leicester City have reportedly agreed to a short-term, two-year contract with the British sportswear brand. While neither the club nor Castore has released an official statement, the brand is already familiar to the area, as it currently manufactures kits for the local Leicester Tigers rugby team. This impending switch marks the conclusion of a long-standing partnership with Adidas, who have been producing Leicester's kits since the 18-19 campaign.

Unai Simón Forced to Modify Gloves at 2026 World Cup

During Spain vs Belgium, the Spanish goalkeeper played in a modified pair of Reusch gloves, with the brand's signature "R" logo completely removed. This adjustment was made to meet strict FIFA rules. Big thanks to @jerseystory_vn for spotting this interesting detail.

According to section 18.4.1 of the FIFA Equipment Regulations, a manufacturer's logo on goalkeeper gloves must not exceed 20cm² and can only appear once. Because the full "Reusch" text logo was already printed on the index finger, the additional "R" logo on the back had to be removed.

However, likely due to a referee oversight, Simón still managed to play with his original, unmodified gloves - featuring both logos, during Spain's final group stage match against Uruguay.

Alongside Unai Simón, several other high-profile goalkeepers, including Álisson Becker and Gregor Kobel, are also wearing similar Reusch gloves at the 2026 World Cup.
