Italian sportswear brand Kappa has officially re-entered the performance football boot landscape with the launch of the all-new Gyra. Rather than competing in the crowded synthetic speed boot race, Kappa takes a distinctly tailored path, combining rich leather craftsmanship, 90s nostalgia, and vintage cycling inspiration into an elegant new package.

The Kappa Gyra football boot has no pro support yet but was worn by former player Adebayor in the Robert Pires tribute match.

The Kappa Gyra soccer cleat introduces a silhouette unlike anything else currently on the pitch, drawing direct design inspiration from classic leather cycling shoes and Kappa's own sportswear archives from the 1990s. The forefoot and midfoot are defined by a pattern of debossed circular indentations, referencing classic perforated cycling leather while providing cushioned control zones for a clean, dampened touch on the ball.

Crafted for players prioritizing touch and fit, the top-tier Gyra Elite features an upper made from 100% natural full-grain calf leather. An off-center asymmetrical lacing system enlarges the medial striking zone, while a multi-texture knitted tongue and a plush microfiber collar provide modern step-in comfort and lockdown. The Italian brand's famous Omini logo is subtly embossed across the lateral heel quarter.

Beneath the leather upper, the Gyra rests on an injected nylon LX soleplate built for modern traction and stability. The tooling utilizes rounded conical pivot studs under the forefoot for fluid 360-degree rotations, complemented by a unique three-stud heel layout and reinforced chassis ribs through the midfoot. Translucent amber-tinted stud tips add another layer of vintage charm to the setup.
