Ending a 15-year partnership with Adidas, Aberdeen FC and Macron have officially launched the club's new away kit for the 2026-2027 season, bringing a bespoke design inspired by one of the city’s most famous modern landmarks.

The new Macron Aberdeen 26-27 away kit features a clean white primary base paired with crisp black and red detailing on the crew-neck collar and the sleeve cuffs.
The entire shirt is enhanced by an elegant, embossed graphic inspired by the distinctive glazed façade of the Sir Duncan Rice Library. This subtle pattern replicates the building's irregular bands of transparent and opaque glass, creating striking effects of light and reflection across the fabric.
The choice of landmark pays tribute to the historic links between the club and education. When the modern-day Aberdeen FC was founded in 1903 through the merger of the original Aberdeen team, Orion, and Victoria United, many of the early players were drawn from the teaching profession.
Because university teachers or lecturers were traditionally known as "Dons", the team quickly earned its famous nickname. Woven into the back of the neck, the words 'The Dons' are printed in red as a quiet finishing touch to reinforce this academic legacy.

Premium Material Returns to the World Cup Champions Badge
Alongside the second star above the crest, Spain officially unveiled a new 3D embossed World Champions badge during their recent 3-2 victory over England in the UEFA Nations League. This badge previously appeared on Spain's jersey after their 2026 FIFA World Cup triumph.
Compared to the heat-applied plastic version seen on Argentina's kits, the new badge from Cromotransfer offers a significantly more premium look, featuring an embossed surface and a multi-layered structure. Before that, Adidas has increasingly shifted to pre-applying tournament and champions badges directly in its manufacturing facilities.
However, this upgrade will be exclusive to the authentic player-version jerseys. The fan-version replica shirts will continue to feature the standard heat-transferred plastic badge.
