Custom Adidas Argentum Gambeta Messi Farewell Ball
This picture shows the unique commemorative details applied to the Adidas match ball for Messi's farewell game.
The special Adidas 2026 Argentum Messi Farewell ball is based on the standard 2026 Argentum Gambeta ball, launched in early 2026 to commemorate the 40th anniversary of Argentina’s 1986 World Cup triumph. It incorporates a series of custom graphics across its panels honoring the captain's 21 years representing the Albiceleste.
Among the standout panel details is an inscription listing all six FIFA World Cup tournaments Messi contested, spanning from Germany 2006 to USA-MEX-CAN 2026, paired with silhouette artwork of the forward across the eras alongside the 2022 World Cup trophy.
Another panel proudly showcases his iconic number 10 encircled by golden laurel branches, crowned by the Argentine flag and the phrase El Último Baile (The Last Dance).
Additional bespoke touches include Messi's trademark celebration pointing two hands to the sky, a secondary El Último Baile wordmark, and a dedicated tribute panel bearing the words Gracias Messi above his number 10 and match coordinates noting the Estadio Monumental and the date 06-10-26.
The ball was used during the match alongside Argentina's special farewell kit before being presented to Messi as a historic memento of his final chapter in national team colors.
