Exclusive: Adidas to Release Liverpool 27-28 European Kit

Following our recent revelation that Bayern München will receive a dedicated continental shirt in the 2027-28 campaign, Footy Headlines can exclusively leak that Liverpool FC are also slated to receive an official European kit from Adidas for the 27-28 season. The release will NOT be contingent on the Reds qualifying for the UEFA Champions League.

Liverpool 27-28 European Kit

This will mark the first time in modern Liverpool history that the club receives an independent kit strictly dedicated to European competition. Unlike regular seasons where the club alternates between their primary home shirt and change strips across all competitions, the Adidas Liverpool 27-28 European jersey will not function as the club's official third kit. Instead, it is being designed specifically for European nights under the Anfield floodlights.

Adidas will use the Trefoil logo for the Liverpool European 27-28 kit and a special crest.

The project mirrors Adidas' wider initiative to resurrect bespoke European strips for select top-tier partner clubs. During the late 1990s and early 2000s, Adidas famously pioneered continental jerseys for teams such as Bayern München, crafting memorable releases tailored solely for UEFA fixtures. Applying this framework to Liverpool gives the Three Stripes an opportunity to tap directly into the club's storied pedigree in European football.

The upcoming European shirt will sit alongside Liverpool's standard 27-28 kit lineup, which already includes a Kop-inspired checkerboard red home shirt, a black and pink away strip, and a white third jersey. Footy Headlines expects the new Adidas Liverpool European kit to launch in late summer 2027, shortly before the group phase kicks off in September.
