2018 Russia FIFA World Cup Logo Revealed
FIFA today revealed the logo for the 2018 World Cup, which will take place in Russia. The new 2018 FIFA World Cup logo was unveiled in an episode of the Russian late-night talk show 'Urgant Night Show', which was renamed as 'Late Night Mundial' for the occasion.
The TV studio for the show was designed in a football-themed stadium style, while presenter Ivan Urgant was joined by FIFA president Blatter, Chairman of the Local Organising Committee Vitaly Mutko and the captain of Italy's 2006 World Cup winning side Fabio Cannavaro.

This is the official logo for the 2018 World Cup in Russia.
Following the trophy-inspired 2014 World Cup logo design, the new 2018 World Cup logo is mainly red with golden, black and blue accents. The lower left side of the new World Cup logo holds the image of a celebrating footballer, while there are golden dots and stars placed on the red ground.
A custom typeface was also created for the visual idendity for the World Cup, which will kick-off in three years and eight months, on July 8, 2018. Sepp Blatter said he liked the logo as it reflected heart and soul of Russia as well as the country's cultural traditions.

Russia's sport minister Vitaly Mutko said: "To creatively capture the essence of this remarkable historic moment inspiration was drawn from both Russia's rich artistic tradition and its history of bold achievement and innovation," he said. "I hope that fans around the world will appreciate and love the Russia 2018 emblem."
