Next-Gen New Balance Tekela v6 Prototype Boots
These pictures show the unreleased New Balance Tekela v6 boots worn by Eberechi Eze.
Seen in a clean whiteout test disguise, the next-gen New Balance Tekela v6 football boots introduce several noticeable alterations compared to the Tekela v5. The upper showcases a newly engineered textured pattern across the strike zone, specifically tailored for enhanced friction and ball manipulation.
Below the upper, New Balance has overhauled both the chassis and the stud configuration, refining the traction pattern to maximize agility and quick pivoting for central creators.
While Eze appeared to be sporting a sleek, laceless build at first glance, close-up photos reveal an intriguing personal modification. The boots feature standard lace eyelets along the throat of the upper, confirming that the boot is indeed a laced model. Eze clearly opted to take out the shoelaces completely, trusting the knitted collar and elasticated instep structure to provide sufficient lockdown on its own.
With New Balance also registering a fresh trademark update for the "Tekela" name in soccer footwear in October 2026, the arrival of the new generation is drawing close. An official retail launch for the New Balance Tekela v6 is expected in early 2027.
