Adidas Primeknit 2.0 2015 Boots Released

Adidas today released the second generation of the revolutionary Adidas Primeknit Soccer Cleat! The totally new Adidas Primeknit 2.0 2015 Football Boots feature a brand new sock-like collar design.

On February 27, 2014, Adidas launched the world's first knitted soccer cleat, the Adidas Samba Football Primeknit Soccer Boot. The Adidas Primeknit 2014 Football Boot was the first ever boot to be knitted from heel to toe, even though Nike launched the knitted Nike Magista Obra Cleats a few days after the Adidas Primeknit.

Bernat and Luis Suarez will debut the Adidas Primeknit 2.0 Boots against PSG this week, after the Barcelona striker already laced up in the Adidas Primeknit 2.0 Boots in Barcelona's training session on April 18, 2015.

Adidas Primeknit 2.0 Soccer Cleat - Black / Solar Green / Multicolor

This is the new Adidas Primeknit 2.0 2015 Boot.

The new Adidas Primeknit 2.0 Boots feature a striking green ankle design with a high techfit collar for a flexible ankle support, which is similar to Nike's Dynamic Fit collar concept. In Summer 2015, Adidas will release the totally new Adidas X 2015-2016 Cleats with a similar techfit collar material, even though the collar of the Adidas X will be lower.

The one-piece woven upper of the new Adidas Football Primeknit Boots is made for a seamless fit, while Adidas added a thin black synthetic layer on the knitted upper for more durability and better ball control in wet conditions. The yarn knit combines the striking colors pink and green, although the black synthetic layer covers almost the entire upper of the cleat.

The Adidas Primeknit 2.0 2015 Boot is mainly black (dark navy) with silver Three Stripes and a silver Adidas Performance logo on the heel area. The tongue, the techfit collar and the sole plate of the Adidas Primeknit 2.0 Cleat boast the eye-catching color Solar Green.

The sole plate of the new Adidas Primeknit 2.0 Soccer Cleat is the same used for the 2015 Adidas F50 Adizero. The striking Solar Green outsole features just three studs in the heel area and a second-level of cleats for better traction, inspired by running shoes. On the green inner sole of the Adidas Primeknit 2.0 2015 Boots is the large lettering primeknit.

Part of the new Adidas 2015 Limited Collection Boots Pack, Adidas already released the Adidas Adizero 99g Boots on April 13. It's also reported that Adidas will launch the Adidas Primeknit FS (Full Sock) Boot in April 2015. The Adidas Primeknit FS is the first all-in-one hybrid football boot with a tongue-less design, and is expected to be launched as extremely limited edition.

From Summer 2015, Adidas will discontinue the Adidas Adipure 11pro, Adizero, Nitrocharge and Predator Boots. Adidas will continue with three totally new boot silos, the Adidas Ace, Adidas X and Adidas Messi.
