Adidas Discontinues Adizero and Predator | Adidas Ace, Adidas X and Adidas Messi Boots Revealed
The Adidas Messi 15 Boot has finally arrived. After Adidas already launched the Adidas Ace and Adidas X Boots last week, the totally new Adidas Messi 2015-2016 Cleats were revealed today, set to debut in the Champions Leage final on Saturday
Adidas has made the biggest changes to their soccer cleats line-up of the past decades last week. Almost all Adidas Football athletes were spotted wearing totally new blacked-out Adidas 2015 Prototype Boots in March 2015, showing-off Adidas' upcoming soccer boots. Find out what's the future of Adidas Soccer Cleats right now.
Adidas discontinues the Adidas Adipure, Adizero, Nitrocharge and Predator
No more Adizero, Predator, Nitrocharge and Adipure. It was quite a shock when we reported that Adidas will stop making all of their four current boot silos from Summer 2015 to herald a new era of Adidas Football Boots. Adidas' silo shake-up has taken effect from April 2015, when Adidas released the last ever regular colorways for the Adidas F50 Adizero and Adidas Predator Instinct.
After more than 20 years, Adidas stops making the iconic Adidas Predator Boots. The German brand celebrated the 20-years anniversary of the Predator with extremely popular special editions including remakes of the Adidas Predator 1994, Predator Accelerator and Predator Mania in 2014. Launched as limited editions, the Adidas Predator Remakes sold out quickly.
Adidas also stops making the Adidas F50 Adizero (Speed), the Adidas Adipure 11pro (Modern Heritage) and the Adidas Nitrocharge (Energy) Soccer Cleats.
None of the four current Adidas boot silos have a direct successor, even though Adidas offer similar boot concepts as a replacement for the Adidas Adipure 11pro, Adidas F50 Adizero, Adidas Nitrocharge 1.0 and Adidas Predator Instinct.
New Adidas 2015-2016 Boots | Adidas Ace , Adidas X, Adidas Messi
This is the new Adidas Ace Boot.
The totally new Adidas Ace 2015-2016 Soccer Boots are made for superior ball control, touch and comfort, and are marketed as Adidas' Control Boot.
Former Adidas Predator players such as Mesut Özil and Iker Casillas will sport the new Adidas Ace 15.1 from the upcoming season, while the Adidas Ace 15.1 Boots will be also worn by Koke, who currently wears the Adidas Nitrocharge, and James Rodríguez, who currently wears the Adidas F50 Adizero 2015 Football Shoes.
The Adidas X 15.1 Boots feature a similar design approach as the Adidas F50 Adizero, made for lightweight, touch and speed. Adidas also introduces a Dynamic Fit collar concept for the Adidas X 2015-2016 Cleats, made for flexible ankle support, while the Adidas X feature no Three Stripes.
The new Adidas X 15.1 Boots will be worn by players such as Theo Walcott, Gareth Bale, Arjen Robben and Luis Suarez from today.
Lionel Messi is the only Adidas player to receive his own signature boot, the new Adidas Messi 15.1 Boots. The Adidas Messi 15.1 Boot features a 3d synthetic leather upper and a new skeleton outsole with a similar cleats alignment as the 2014 Adidas Boot with triangular studs for instant acceleration and agility.
To offer players a modern leather boot at an affordable price, Adidas introduced the Adidas Gloro 2015 Cleats in March 2015. The Adidas Gloro is available in six different colors and features super soft Kangaroo leather in the forefoot area, made for better ball control.

Portuguesa 2026 Third Kit Released - Tribute to Portugal Ahead of 2026 World Cup
Brazilian club Associação Portuguesa de Desportos, commonly known as Portuguesa, has officially launched its new third kit for the 2026 season. Produced by technical sponsor Joma, the new uniform pays direct homage to the Portuguese national team, celebrating the club's deep historical roots as Portugal prepares to compete in the upcoming 2026 World Cup.
The new Portuguesa 2026 third jersey closely mirrors the classic look of the Portuguese national team, featuring a vibrant crimson red base enhanced by subtle jacquard detailing that provides a sense of movement to the fabric. The shirt is structured with a classic polo collar adorned with red and white edging and a green front point insert. The sleeves remain red with contrasting green underarm panels, while the cuffs match the collar's red and white trim.
Further solidifying the international tribute, the official coat of arms of Portugal is prominently displayed on the nape of the neck above the white player numbering. The alternative uniform is completed by green shorts and red socks, finalizing the classic Portuguese color scheme.
The kit is set to make its on-pitch debut this Saturday, May 16th, in a match against Água Santa.
Athletico Paranaense 26-27 Away Kit Released
Athletico Paranaense and Umbro have officially launched the Brazilian club's new away jersey for the 2026-2027 season. It will make its on-pitch debut in the Copa do Brasil against Atlético Goianiense.
The new Athletico Paranaense 2026-2027 away kit is white, with the traditional team colors prominently featured through a striking red and black gradient effect applied across the shoulders.
The uniform is further detailed with various subtle graphic elements referencing the history and symbols of the club, which are placed on the inside of the collar, the back hem, and within the custom numbering.
