Guadalajara Unveil Rainbow Shirt Against Homophobia in Football

Spanish 3rd division team CD Guadalajara, not to be mistaken with the Mexican team of the same name, and Hummel have unveiled a striking new Rainbow Home Kit for the upcoming Segunda División B season.

The unique new Guadalajara 15-16 Rainbow Home Kit was unveiled at the Madrid Pride 2015 on Saturday.

This is the stunning new Guadalajara 2015-2016 Home Kit from Hummel.

Made by Danish brand Hummel, the new Guadalajara 15-16 Jersey boasts the club's traditional purple main color while featuring an eye-catching rainbow flag in the center. The rainbow flag is a symbol for the LGBT movement and the Spanish club hopes to raise attention for the fight against homophobia in football.

As Hummel announced, 5% of the sales of the new Guadalajara Rainbow Jersey will be donated to 'La Liga Arco Iris' (La Liga Rainbow) that fights against homophobia and prejudices in Spanish football.

Interestingly, in a similar, albeit unrelated move, La Liga side Rayo Vallecano just a few days ago revealed a striking Third Kit with rainbow sash. The St. Pauli 15-16 Kits, also made by Hummel, are expected to feature rainbow details, too.
