New season, old boots. Lionel Messi completed his first-training session of the 2015-16 season wearing his signature Adidas Messi Pibe de Barrio after he laced up in his all-new Adidas Messi 15.1 2015-2016 Boots in the 2015 Champions League Final and Copa America.
Lionel Messi is ready for the new season and returned to pre-season training four days before the 3 August return date they had originally planned on. But it now looks like Lionel Messi prefers his old boots.

The Lionel Messi Adidas Pibe de Barrio Boots were originally launched in mid-March 2015. Inspired by Messi's childhood in Rosario, the Adidas Messi Pibe de Bar10 Soccer Cleats feature a unique graffiti upper graphic design to stand out.
Like last season, Messi wore a modified version of the Adidas Pibe de Bar10 Boots in his first 2015-16 training session. The custom Adidas Messi Pibe de Barrio Boots feature a leather upper, and the sole plate of the 2014 Adidas F50 Adizero instead of the outsole of the 2015 Adidas F50 Adizero used for the retail version.
However, Adidas will launch a clean new colorway for the Adidas Messi 15.1 Boots very soon. So it's very likely that Messi will switch to a custom version of the white and blue Adidas Messi 2015-2016 Boots before the start of the season.
