Manchester City 15-16 Third Kit - On-pitch Debut
Manchester City got back on winning tracks with a 4-1 win in the Capital One Cup at Sunderland, giving the striking Nike Manchester City 15-16 Third Kit a first run-out along the way.
Unveiled last week, the flamboyant Manchester City 15-16 Third Jersey completed Man City's 15-16 Nike set and is set to be used as primary secondary choice in cup competitions.
Manchester City Debut 'Ghost Green' Third Kit
Fusing 'Ghost Green' as a striking base color with black gradient detailing, synonymous with Nike's 15-16 'Night Rising' Third Jerseys, the Manchester City 15-16 Third Kit is inspired by the yellow kit worn in one of the club's most pivotal matches.
Going behind by two goals against Gillingham at Wembley in 1999, City scored twice in extra time before winning the penalty shootout, winning promotion to the third tier of English football.
"We're Man City - we glow in the dark!"
Those days are long gone of course, and Manchester City underlined its evolution by recording a vast 4-0 half-time lead away against Sunderland, quickly winning over the traveling supporters who even included the Citizens' eye-catching new look in their chants.
