Nike to Release Academy Pack Hypervenom Phinish
When Nike announced it would re-release the incredibly popular Academy Pack, and even include an all-new blackout Nike Hypervenom Phantom II, people were going crazy.
Update: The blackout Nike Hypervenom Phinish boots are now available to pre-order at various outlets and will come to nike.com as well on September 30.
Some folks, however, were wondering about whether the Nike Hypervenom Phinish would also get the blackout treatment alongside the upper-tier Nike Hypervenom Phantom II. And albeit it's obvious today that no blackout Nike Hypervenom Phinish is available to purchase anywhere, the answer isn't quite as easy as a straight no.
Nike Academy Pack Hypervenom Phinish
This is the blackout Nike Hypervenom Phinish cleat, visible on a Nike Academy Pack promo shot.
Contrary to their unavailability in stores, the Nike Hypervenom Phinish Academy Pack cleats appear on Nike's official promotional material for the second Nike Academy Pack, indicating that it was in fact planned to be a part of the September 2015 Nike Academy Pack.
As pointed out by some people, the Nike Hypervenom Phinish cleats visible on the two promotional pictures are in fact just photoshopped Nike Hypervenom Phantom II cleats, clearly visible if one takes a closer look at the lighting on the two shoes.
The fact that many professionals, such as Wayne Rooney, Isco and Harry Kane, prefer the lower cut of the Phinish, further adds to the lack of understanding of Nike's decision to not feature it in the new pack on behalf of many Nike fans.
Scheduled for a release in early April 2015, the original Nike Academy Pack was delayed several times, during which it was expanded to include both the Magista Opus and Mercurial Vapor takedown models. Perhaps overwhelmed by the initial success of the blackout 1st-generation Nike Hypervenom boots and the following Academy Pack, Nike has now actually re-released the first edition, something it didn't really do ever before for soccer boots.

FC Cartagena 26-27 Away Kit Released
Spanish side FC Cartagena and Macron have officially launched their new away kit for the 26-27 season, paying homage to the city's rich three-thousand-year heritage. Draped in traditional carmesí red, the jersey is decorated with an intricate all-over graphic pattern inspired by an ancient Roman mosaic uncovered in the crypt beneath the Catedral de Santa María la Vieja. Elegant gold detailing highlights the monochrome crest, collar trim, sleeve cuffs, and sponsor emblems, completed by the Latin motto Carthago Nova Invicta Est subtly sublimated onto the lower hem.
Nike to Sell Long-Sleeve Besiktas Kits From 27-28 Season
Nike is set to introduce commercially available long-sleeve kits for Beşiktaş starting from the 27-28 season. Following the club's major switch from Adidas after 17 years, supporters will finally have direct access to official long-sleeve match jerseys at retail. Big thanks to @ertansuzgun & @Formaholic.
The timing aligns with significant milestone celebrations in Istanbul, as Nike is also planning a special 125th-anniversary collection for Beşiktaş during the 27-28 campaign to mark the club's foundation in 1903. Rather than relying on base layers and compression undershirts, players and fans alike will see dedicated long-sleeve designs included in the lineup.
The development forms part of Nike's wider strategy to bring back commercial long-sleeve authentic shirts across its elite roster from 27-28 onwards. By expanding long-sleeve availability to Beşiktaş, Nike closes the gap on rivals like Adidas and provides the Black Eagles with full top-tier treatment under their new partnership.
