Chivas Don Pink Numbers to Raise Awareness of Cancer
Mexican giants Chivas have joined the big range of brands, clubs and players who started various campaigns to raise awareness of cancer during the month of October, recognized as Cancer Awareness Month.
Taking the field against Toluca, Chivas had replaced their usual navy back numbers with a pink type, fully embracing Cancer Awareness Month. It wasn't exactly a good thing in terms of visibility, though, as the pink digits barely stood out against the red-and-white stripes of the Chivas jersey.
And the on-pitch result against Toluca wasn't a bad one for Chivas either, as they qualified for the Copa MX final against Club León with a 1-0 win.
Did you like Chivas' promotion to increase cancer awareness or were you annoyed by the barely-readable shirt numbers? Let us know in the comments below.
