VfL Wolfsburg To Sign Record-Breaking Nike Kit Deal

German Bundesliga club VfL Wolfsburg is set to sign a kit deal with US-giant Nike to replace current shirt supplier Kappa, according to the renowned German sports magazine Kicker.

Even though Kappa and VfL Wolfsburg signed a five-year kit deal in 2014 until 2019, a buy-out clause allows the Champions League participant to prematurely terminate the contract with the Italian sports supplier.

Nike had been already making VfL Wolfsburg' Shirts between 2004 and 2009, while the German club switched to Three Stripes after they won the German Bundesliga title in 2009.
