All-New Silver Next-Gen Adidas Ace Prototype Boots Revealed
YouTube football boot reviewer Eial Donnenfeld, who is well-known for reviewing a huge range of different football boots from Adidas and Nike, has gotten his hands on five Adidas Ace Prototype Boots. And while four of the prototypes that can be seen in his latest video are nothing really new, he also showed off a utterly interesting sample of silver Adidas Ace 2016 Football Boots that we had never seen before.
In January 2016, Adidas will already launch the second generation of the Adidas Ace Football Boots. And after Adidas launched the first-gen Adidas Ace Boots with two different high-end tier models (Synthetic and Leather), the German brand will release the next-gen Adidas Ace 2016 Soccer Cleats with previously unmatched four top-tier models (Synthetic, Leather, Knitted [Primeknit], Laceless). But now let's get into what's really interesting. The silver next-gen Adidas Ace Sample boot.
Silver Next-Gen Adidas Ace 16.1 Samples
This is the silver, black, light green and orange Adidas Ace Sample.
Boasting the main color silver, the Adidas Ace Sample Soccer Cleats come with contrasting black applications and striking light green and orange details to create a design that is made for the players who want to stand out. Apart from the colors, the silver Adidas Ace 16.1 Sample Boot features exactly the same design as the other colorways of the Control boot. However, there is one detail that makes the boots truly one-of-a-kind.
Whereas the main features of the boots such as the upper material and the outsole are the same we already know, it's the tongue construction that not only caught the attention of YouTube reviewer Eial Donnenfeld. What's so special about the tongue of the silver Adidas Ace 15.1 Football Boots?
While the regular edition of the next-gen Adidas Ace 16.1 Boots comes with a pretty standard tongue construction, the silver Adidas Ace Boot includes a never-seen-before elastic cord that is designed to further lockdown the foot and to prevent that the tongue goes off. But will Adidas ever release the silver Adidas Ace 16.1 Boots featuring the never-seen-before tongue construction?
While Eial Donnenfeld was unable to respond this question, we understand that it's very unlikely that players will be ever able to get their hands on the silver version of the Adidas Ace.

Harrogate Town 26-27 Home Kit Released
Harrogate Town has officially revealed its new home kit for the 2026-2027 season. Produced by technical sponsor New Balance, the latest primary strip offers a bold and modern twist on the club's traditional yellow and black colors. Following the recent reveal of their striking geometric away jersey, this home release confirms that New Balance is committed to delivering highly bespoke and eye-catching designs for the North Yorkshire side's upcoming campaign.
The New Balance Harrogate Town 26-27 home shirt features a vibrant yellow base, anchored by thick black vertical stripes across the front of the torso. However, instead of traditional solid bands, these stripes are executed with a modern, pixelated halftone gradient effect that fades heavily around the midsection to seamlessly accommodate the black "envirovent" sponsor logo. To ensure a cohesive and sharp aesthetic, the New Balance manufacturer logo and the official club crest are both applied in a sleek black and yellow monochrome finish.
The launch completes the team's set for 2026-2027.
